IOCMA - International Online Community Management Association

It’s me, Sascha A. Carlin.

The field of community management opened to me in 2001, when I observed a community of developers at my first employer, Software AG. Later in the same year I took over phpBB.de, the German support site for the renown form software phpBB. I lead the phpBB.de-Team over for years in which we grew from little to big. In the time from 2001 to 2006 I was involved with a number of community projects, offline and online. Some of then were NGO like the Red Cross, some corporations like T-Online, some small companies looking for community advice. Today I work with a well-known publisher in Germany as Community Manager.
